As you know poor Mum cat lost all her milk so we had to take over feeding the kittens then she went away for a few days and when she come back she was skin and bone and looked like she had a cold. We took the older kitten away from her so she could eat the food we put out for her but she didnt seem interested but kept this up for a few days and she would go away only to pop back once a day for about 5 minutes. Then on Friday she come back and ate a heap of food that we gave her, we thought she getting over her cold but come Saturday she was worse :-(. Don got the folding chairs out and i didnt understand why at first and he told me to sit outside with him and Mum cat because he said she was dying, we made her comfortable and she seemed happy she would keep looking up at us and then she just passed away It was very quick and i dont think she was in any pain. Im sure she was at peace and it was hard for me as im not a cat lover but she was beautiful and we know at least for a few months she had a warm place to sleep and had food whenever she needed it and she had a safe place to have her kittens.

| Im sorry to hear this, you are right she had happiness for a few months remember that! Its always hard when a pet goes to pet heaven and doesn't matter if it was part of your life for years or just months. Hard question to ask at the moment but do you plan on keeping any of the kittens now?

Sorry Dahls to hear this.
Just read a post on another forum from a bloke who took in a stray cat, had her for a couple of years & then she passed away.
The overwhelming thing that came through in his posts was what a wonderful animal lover he was, and what an understanding of their little souls he had...and I'm thinking that now of Don.
He knew what was happening, and he prepared for it in the most loving way he could...that just filled me up with emotion.
What a great affinity he has with animals

| yes Don does have this thing when it comes to animals thats for sure and he is a real softy (makes it good for me wanting animals) :-). Its real strange doing the washing now because Mum cat always wanted to jump into the washing machine and i had to fight her off all the time that is standing out a lot for me i miss her :-(

I know what its like to loose a beloved animal even if they weren't in your life for a long time, for her to have stayed around she must have been happy
