How many get packages from family members back home? I was a little surprised yesterday when i looked in the mail box. It wasnt a big parcel thats not the point, but inside was an Australian keyring/flag and fridge magents of the Australian flag. Like them/need them it doesn't matter i did have a little tear in my eye. But i did love them all :-)

Its always great to receive things from home no matter what it is, its a shame the postage is so expensive.

I dont get packages from home mainly because of the cost of posting but my poor Mum did send me off a letter she received she thought it looked important so she sent it to me. When i got it and opened it i almost fell over, it cost Mum over $3.00 to send me this package asking me if i needed help receiving my child support payments that my x husband had to pay. This was this year my daughter is now 26 bit late dont you think. I told Mum to just open any mail from now on in my name.

| Its a beautiful thing to see that we all cherish things from 'home'. My Dad sent me a package once, for my birthday. It was a painting he did and a couple of knick knacks, he wrapped them in newspaper before he sent them... I spent an unreasonable amount of time reading month old safeway ads.

Yes Kanga, I always threw them away. Just like I do here with all the junk mail in the paper.
Which raises another interesting (to me) question. Any one here understand, or use, the coupons that are everywhere here... Is it worth it?

It must be worth it but to what degree i dont know, i have never used them but i have seen others using them. My understanding of them is if buy something that you have a coupon for, you take the coupons with you and hand them over at the checkout once all your goods have been scanned they scan the coupon this then reduces the price to whatever it is you got. Same as if something was on special but you must have the coupon to match whatever it is.
