Some type of cold/flu has struck Emily. She woke up with a cough and head cold, by the next morning it was in her chest, She hasn't been able to hold anything down. Dr yesterday tested her for strep, but that came back negative. She's had fever & chills up to 103.5 and it doesn't seem to be getting better. The doc gave her a broad spectrum antibiotic but I was hesitant to use it in case it was unnecessary and the antibiotics cause an immunity later in life...but this morning I decided to go ahead with the antibiotics. Normally she's her charming, laughing smiling self, but this one has knocked her down.
It's so bad in her chest, I'm scared of her coming down with pneumonia, and have her doing deep breaths every hour. She still has a fever, but at least it's below 102 for now....this is day 3 with very little sleep for me, as I've been sleeping with her, in case she's had trouble during the night. Thank goodness for phenergan gel. It has helped some with her nausea, but mostly it's coughing up phlegm, which is a good thing....
I've cancelled my doctor appointments for this week because I can't take her down to Knoxville like this, and the roads are bad and going to be worse by Wednesday...and will reschedule for 3 weeks time, because I just know I'm going to end up with whatever she has lol.....just hope it waits until she's better....

I too have a sore throat, sore ears, stuffy nose and congestion, body aches and I'm just sooo tired....

are you getting any better VSG and Vick? Emily is slightly better, but the coughing really sets in as it gets to evening time...

| Feeling better, thanks everyone. Glad Emily is slowly feeling better too. Now just have this work to get one, it's huge and of course the sound quality sucks which means a lot of missed words, plus it's a super boring job and there is about another 6 hours of typing to go...back to work I go...

Yep we are in week 3 of this darn thing, now D has it and my stepdaughter's school just called and I have to go pick her up cuz she has strep throat  As you can see by me being on here, I am in no hurry to go get her ha_ha.
