Don't forget your Green Card if you drive anywhere near the Mexican border. Chris and I drove from Phoenix today and we are now in San Diego However the highway veers almost to the Mexican border and were were stopped by the US Border Patrol.
I don't carry my Green Card so we had to pull over into a squad of armed agents and sniffer dogs whil they checked out my info from my drivers licence.
Phew................

I put on my best Strine accent and smiled a lot. Only took 5 or 6 minutes. They didn't have a computer, they had to radio it in which I guess takes longer
Silly me, I had my Green Card with me yesterday but I read somewhere that it's safer not to carry it around. So much for THAT advice !

| I was pulled over again today on the way back to Arizona. Oh well, guess they're just doing their job. Still gets me rattled when I see uniforms and guns and I'm the center of their attention :(

I can understand that! Even if you have done nothing wrong they can make your life hell if they want and they do.
