| I know a person down here in Florida that likes to use her car as an oven to cook whole chickens in! Her recipe - which was secret until today - involves leaving the fresh chicken in the car for 3 days in a plastic bag. It leaves an undesirable smell in the car - but I believe the chicken is fantastic to taste as all the natural flavours are locked in! s0099

slow roasted...it must just fall apart to the touch...and it even gives a fun colour so the kids will be tempted to eat it....
You have such a great friend for sharing her recipe

So we do the shopping on Sunday and like a caring darling hubby that he is, he brings in the shopping every time ( what a honey he is ).
Monday morning i head of to do a few things in the truck that we did the shopping in, all is good, the truck didnt get used after that, but come today....well well well, i go to get in truck to go visit Chris for coffee and i almost passed out when i opened the truck door.
On Friday hubby told me there was a rat, yes a rat in the truck so here i am thinking oh no the rat is dead and stinks.
So big brave me goes to the back of truck and braves the smell (it was off) looking for the dead rat.
No dead rat what i found was the chook i got Sunday still in the back of the truck, with an ever so pretty green colour starting to show.
Anybody want him ?, i guess maybe i should have noticed no chock when i unpacked but nope i didnt.

You could always prop him (the chook not Don) up in the passenger's seat. Then have it ready to throw at someone in a fit of road rage!!

What can i say, i went to the truck when i got home and almost vomited i have no idea how she drove it like that, but a full can of Oust and windows down with a bit of luck might save my ass.
Oh and the truck is parked outside our nice neighbours place

Now that would have been good for the neighbor's air conditioner.

Now thats even a better thought, well after 2 days of the car being aired out and windows left open even in the good thunderstorm we had yesterday and 2 full cans of Oust hubby took the truck to work today so i guess the smell must be gone now.
