This is a very simple and fool-proof recipe!

RICH & CREAMY POTATO BAKE

3 cups half and half, half cup butter or margarine, 1.5 teaspoons salt, 1 pkt (32 oz) frozen southern stye hash brown potatoes  (need to thaw for this recipe), half cup grated parmesan cheese, fresh parsley optional

- in large saucepan, combine half and half, butter and salt. cook and stir over medium heat until butter is melted.

- place potatoes in a greased 13in. x 9 in. baking dish, pour liquid mixture over potatoes and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

- bake uncovered, at 350 degF for 45-55 (I always bake for 55 mins) minutes or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.

I know, I know...but for just us I also make the healthy version, using non-fat half and half and only a tablespoon of butter.  It still tasted great, but of course not as good as the real version...

Great minds think alike Kell...we had friends over Saturday night for dinner, a last minute casual get together, and I too made this...and it was a hit!
