The amount depends on how many your cooking for, but i'm sure you can work it out.
Shred your cabbage very thin.
Use about 6 slices of bacon if feeding 4, cut the bacon into strips
Fry the bacon, but not to crisp, then add the cabbage to the bacon, and fry for a minute. The cabbage will absorb the bacon fat to add flavor, or drain off the fat.
In a saucepan add water and 3 teaspoons of sugar, bring to the boil and add cabbage and bacon.
Simmer till cabbage is cooked...Approx 20 minutes
cabbage is not one of my favorite vegie, but i will eat it done this way
