125g butter, 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp golden syrup 1 tbsp milk 1 1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
Combine butter, sugar golden syrup and milk in a saucepan. Heat until butter has melted and mix is nearly boiling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and allow to cool to lukewarm. Sift flour baking soda together. Add to the cooled mixture. Stir well. Roll tbsp of mix into balls and place on ungreased over tray. Flatten with a floured fork. Bake at 180 degrees C or 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown.
