I made my own version up for lunch today, and they turned out the best sausage rolls I've ever eaten...
1lb ground chicken
1/4 lb pork sausage
1 carrot grated
1 small onion chopped
2 tbsp fire roasted green chillis (cans found in hispanic section of supermarkets)
butter
salt/pepper
breadcrumbs
I placed the onion, carrot and green chillis in a saucepan and sauteed them with the butter until soft. I then mixed them into the chicken, pork & breadcrumbs, salt & pepper.
placed the mixture on the puff pastry, cut into long length sausage rolls (about 3 to a roll), and baked until cooked in the oven.
The buttery chilli flavour was to die for...and not much fat in them, compared to the beef ones....even Dennis said they were the best he's ever tried, and he is a fussy eater for a man.....

I can still look right? yes, rooee, but everyone needs to have a little indulgence so as not to have the body crave too much of the foods it's being starved of....so if you made these, and just had 1 every couple of weeks, it shouldn't mean anything....
remember, there is hardly any fat in the ground chicken....much leaner than the beef, and lighter in texture also....much better for you

no, do not put your fingers or any other body parts in chili's...unless you're into pain lol...
I can't touch any chilis with my bare hands anymore. The day that I made 100 jalapeno poppers has caused my skin to react immediately...so I always wear those latex hospital type gloves when handling chilis now.
