We have here a terrible case going on, where a poor little six year old girl has been missing now for 7 days.

Unfortunately, though, it looks like one of those tragic "the parents did it" cases.

Of course the media are playing it up that way, too, but there are many suspect details about the case.

Firstly, that she was reported missing a week ago, but no neighbours friends of family members have actually seen her in the 3 weeks before she was reported missing.

She has only attended school for 5 days out of the year.

She was once admitted to hospital for a large "adult sized" bite on her shoulder, & she had also previusly been removed from her mother's care, but then allowed back.

She lives with her mother, who had another baby exactly 3 weeks before, and that was the last time this little girl was seen. And her step-father, whom the police have been treating as a suspect.

I pray I'm wrong, but unfortunately I just can't see this having a happy ending...poor little mite.

I was reading about this and i don't think there is going to be a happy ending as well. Why on earth do they send these poor little children back into the care of the parent/parents when they know there is abuse!

Sadly i have a feeling that its not going to be a happy ending as well :-(. Lets pray and hope we are wrong ! And yes Kanga it gets me as well why these little treasures that are brought into this world are sent back home for more abuse.

Has there been any updates on this? i feel its not going to be a happy ending as well:-(. The whole welfare system need an over haul if you ask me.

I had a quick look but couldn't find anything new about this story, this doesn't mean there isn't any news as im a bit busy at the moment so i only had a quick look. My guy feeling is its going to end up a tragic ending.

Only that the police have now called off the ground & air search.

And also, I just heard on the news that police are now also investigating the apparent "cot death" of the previous baby.

And i think they should! lord if there is signs of abuse why didn't they look into it before now!

oh jeez I just hate stories like this, they make me feel sick to the stomach. It's not the fact that a child might be dead, which is horrific on it's own, but the thought of that innocent little thing and what the child must have gone through before death, just kills me inside c0098a

I say hang any bastard that hurts or kills a child, just my opinion but jeez there is no other punishment in this world that even comes close to what they have done.

I agree with you its so sickening! But i say take them out to the desert and bury them up to their necks and let the hot sun do the job!

And now we have another horrendous story, of a Australian athlete who was so determined to perform at the Sydney Olympics, that in the 5 years leading up to the games, she had 2 pregnancies terminated, and another 2 babies she gave birth to, she adopted out.

But now police say she gave birth to a fifth baby shortly before the Olympics, and murdered the baby & buried its body at Olympic Park.

She had hidden this pregnancy & birth from family & friends, but knew she had to attend a friend's wedding shortly before the baby was due. So she went to several different hospitals begging to be induced early, so she could hide the fact that she had been pregnant.

Thank God they didn't blame it on the Dingo! And just on that, see the entire transcript of the Lindy Chamberlain case has been laid out for the media and public to see? A lot of those jurors weren't sure apparently.

We live in a screwed up world these days. Anyone for the innocence and simplicity of the 60's again?
