the Astronaut Farmer
Starring Billy Bob Thornton and Virginia Madsen. Excellent feel good movie...and the one line that had us in fits...
FAA " How do we know it's (the rocket) not a weapon of mass destruction?"
BBT " If it was, you wouldn't be able to find it"

Okay, I have dried my tears after watching " An American Crime"
It is based on a true story. It's on Showtime if you have that, if not, I highly recommend it to hire on netflix or dvd....
about 2 sisters who are left with a woman with 6 children, whilst the sister's parents work for a carnival. The mother of the 6 kids takes out her anger on one of the sisters and she becomes a free for all to torture.
This happened in 1965 Indiana. It is shocking and upsetting, but it's good to see that punishment was applied in this instance...

just finished watching a robert de nero movie called "once upon a time in america" what a great movie (as most of his are )
the movie portray's 50 years of underworld history,I reckon it's the best gangster movie since "the godfather" trilogy. if you haven't seen it your missing out on a brilliant movie.

Just got back from seeing Journey To The Centre Of The Earth in 3D.....bloody fantastic. And yes there was a part where we all jumped when something suddenly popped out at us.....It was cool to see Emily reaching out to touch something that she thought was right up at her face...She loved it.
There is an animated space movie about 3 bugs who go into space with the astronauts that is in 3D, and they were advertising the John Travolta/Miley Cyrus animated movie in 3D, but not sure if that was just showing the audience how 3D works, but it could be 3D viewing also.
Another great year for kids movies this year...

| Okay, we managed to see 2 movies while on vacation. We saw "Hancock" and "Get Smart"...both very funny. I could definately watch Get Smart again. Steve Carrell plays an awesome Get Smart. Jake thoroughly enjoyed both and laughed a lot. Amazing to see how he get's alot of jokes in movies now that once went over his head!
