I watched this movie last night.
It was a very emotional story about a lonely depressed old man who meets up with a Sengalese taxi driver....they form an unexpected relationship.
It was a great film, & the happy 'jive talking' acting debut by the taxi driver was excellent.
But darn if it wasn't one of those "open-ending" movies, where you don't get to know the final outcome.
I was that disappointed when it ended...I was really waiting for this happy ending, and then...nothing.
Gee I hate that!

I don't think this was done to make room for a sequel, and I don't want to spoil the movie incase anyone decides to watch it.
I just think its one of those new "in thing" techniques...to leave you guessing.
But to me it defeated the purpose of watching the movie.
It was a movie you watched because, well you sort of suspected what the ending was going to be...and you spent the whole movie hoping & hoping that the "expected outcome" wasn't going to happen, that somehow it would all get turned around. And then after all that "hoping'...nothing, just nothing!
I was really disappointed. Other than that, it was brilliant.
