If you don't feel in the mood for a depressing movie, then don't at any cost watch this movie!!
Having said that, though, it was one of the most intense & moving films I've ever watched.
However, it deals with a poor, overweight black girl who was raped & abused all her life...and follows her efforts to get an education & beter herself, despite having had 2 children by the age of 16.
A very very sad movie...but as I said..its really powerful.

| i have seen the trailer to this and all the hype about it as it was being filmed and it does look very good but would be so completely upsetting. I hope the girl gets an award, she isn't even an actress....well, she is now!!!
