You know with things like this....the answer might have changed, as we all have had our share of immigration issues over the years i for one dont keep up with all the news.

But i cant see that this question has changed so the answer is no you cant use that ticket, the ticket must be in the same name as your passport!!!!

What i would do if i was you is ring the airline you booked with and see if they will change it at a cost, i know that will suck but better than nothing, and if you want a 100% answer to your question ring the airline and ask them i wouldnt bother sitting on the phone for hours to ask at a immigration office,  i would do it via the airlines.

Good luck hon.

Sunny hun yes the airline tickets as far as Im aware MUST be in the same name as your passport. What airline is it ? They must be able to change the name at a cost if not Im afraid you are going to have to cancel them and have them reissured. There would be nothing worse than standing at checkin for your international flight and being denyed boarding.

If you have 2 seperate tickets for domestic and international, the domestic will be fine in married name as you have ID but the international needs to be changed.

Hope this makes sense ! Good Luck hughughughug

Well I had previously contacted the agent and they asked for a copy of my marraige cert and copy of my passport which i sent immediatly. they had it for so long i rang and the girl said she had been trying but airlines refused to change the ticket name .

I checked today with the airline and they said rediculous ...that it could be changed and the agent had to do it as they issued the ticket.

Soooooo.back on the phone to agent and after being hung up on once and speaking to 2 others i was finally given a number to ring.

The man was very nice and asked me to fax him my marraige cert and passport and he would contact someone to get it done.

I did this and am now waiting for a call from him in next couple of days ,...if no call I will be back on the phone again.

I did explain it was my mistake as I automatically said Mrs R when I booked tickets , and airline man told me if it is a short time before travel they will accept marraige ,passport and tickets in 2 names but if there has been time to get it fixed they wont and mine has been booked since April .

I get so frustrated with these people cos they talk so fast and I cant always understand thier accents.

I try to be patient as I am from another country as well but I am attuned to the American accent now and find it hard to understand Indian or Phillipino accents any more.

Oh well stay patient and tolerate these problems i suppose...

clappingI heard from the guy today from the agents office.Got an email and a message on my machine.

Its done and of course it had a cost attached to it.

Airline told me it was $100 but agent charged me $150 . I suppose he had to get $50 for his trouble .

Clyde not happy but we still have cheap tickets so what the heck.

Ill spend 150 bucks less ha ha ha .

Have really good price tickets and got my itinary so this is how we go.

Drive from Holly Ridge to Charlotte about 4 hours, park car in long term $3 a day

Fly to LA on US airlines .

Air Pacific from LA to Nandi in FIJI ( might see Brissie or her hubby )

Fiji to Brisbane.

Return the same way which suits us both as we need to get out and stretch many times ......I prefer stops and not straight through.

When I was booking my tickets home this Nov, I asked my Lawyer what name to put it in, as I still wasnt a person in the US at the time (not that I am now either)

He told me to do it in my passport name, its the only thing that I have that proves who I am.

I have told him that if he misses my call when I am trying to get back into the country and *if* I get mucked about I will personally kick him in the goolies!
