I have been thinking for some time now (about 2 weeks) to maybe go ahead and get my Citizenship...
Now i might be thick but where do you go to see what questions will be asked, and also need some feedback on any who has already gone through this please.
I had a look at USICS just not sure if this is up to date, oh also how long did it take from time of appling.
And even you can apply for Citizenship, can this still be done when on a temp PR card?

mememe....I got my citizenship last year Dahls....I used the questions on *** to study for mine. It was like a pop quiz and was always in a different order of questions...so it really made you learn them.
How long the process takes depends on the state you live in. Mine was through TN, and it was backlogged, and I was looking at least 2 years, but all of a sudden they caught up and within 3 months of sending my application in, they were sending me to Nashville for my fingerprinting etc. A month after that was done, I went down for my interview, and it would have been all over then, had I not been moving states...so of course, this threw everything out of whack, and I had to change departments, and then my paperwork was put on someone's desk for 3 months...so I had to get my local congressman in on it, and he had it rectified within a week. A month later I was having my swearing in ceremony.
I'd be going with USCIS info on questions, because I'm pretty sure they were or have changed the test now...I could be wrong. Also check on *** if you're still a member, cause they have the test info in their information...
If you want to call me, if you still have my number, or you want me to call me, let me know and I'd be more than happy to help you and TEST you lol...
Oh, and take your hubby with you when you have your interview. I was told it was not necessary, and because of Dennis' work at the time, he couldn't make it for my interview...well that made me then have to send in additional paperwork which delayed it by 30 days also grrrrrrrrrr lol
And as long as you have been married to a citizen of the USA for 3 years, it doesn't matter if you're not on a full and clear PR card...if not married for 3 years, then it is a 5 year waiting period since moving the the USA before you can apply for citizenship...I think this is right lol..

I started doing the quiz about a month before my interview, twice a day. Once during the day and once at night...by 2 weeks, I knew them by heart, and just went to once every other day for refreshers...you will be fine. We shall start testing you with a question a day on this site if you like. Put up a separate room and we'll ask you one question, you answer it and we'll say yay or nay lol
I'll start.

Ok question ?
I was told that you cant apply for citizenship until you have been married for 3 years but also must have held a green card for that time ??????? So basically the 3 years start when your receive your green card not the date you married --whats the real story scratchchin

I think every case is different as i have another version.
I can apply for citizenship when i have been married 2 years and can put the papers in 3 months before the 2 yrs is up.
They said because my husband was retired military (22yrs) i dont have to wait 3 yrs.
so I have only been here 2 yrs in Oct 2007 my PR card will be 2 yrs old about May 2008 and I can apply about Febuary 2008 for citizenship if I want .
I am not learning any questions till it is getting close.
"Ohhhhh say cant you see by the dawns early light"
How proudly we stand la la la la la la la , thats all i know so far.

In reply to Sunny::::
Yes this is what has confused me, i read the same thing somewhere but now i cant for the life of me find it.
I have been married 3 years come Jan of 2008, so if i go for my 10 yr PR card its just wasting my money if i want Citizenship.
