We have had trouble when you go to post, unless you are on dial up this will work, well most times 028, if it looks like its not going to post just hit the home page, and 9 out of 10 times it has already posted, this is why we are getting double ups.
The software people im afraid are not being kind in offering the setting to fix it, but just hit the home page and you should be right.

I wonder if it's the software or a host issue.
I have only seen the double posting on a wow board here, not any other wow board I go to.
Romps and I are members of a phpbb board and it had huge problems with double and triple postings, when they changed hosts it stopped. Whether a glitch and changing everything over bumped that glitch to a fix who knows, but it stopped.
I have no idea about this type of stuff or these issues so could be totally off track.

I dont know tweety all i know is our host has asked for the setting as the settings might have had a problem and sure it can happen, but (i can say this its on my site) wowbb just dont want to give them to me 028, they just told me....oh you need to tell your host they need to do this, so i gave up.
Im going to ask again the more i think about it, our host is trying but i guess they need to do one thing at a time, and i can understand looking at the setting would be the first thing to do.
I might even give our dear friend Mrs Nancy a yell and see if she knows the settings.

Seeing you have asked in private support and got nowhere, I would post it in open asking the other members if any of them know the settings for you to forward to your host. Would also mention you did not get an answer from private, and you are sick of the problem and just want to cover all avenues in locating the cause.
I am sure some one will know them. Thinking bouttime in particular, just a matter of when he turns up on the board.

We have it in private support again, if we don't get an answer this time we will do just that.

Have they given you an answer yet aussie? Not sure for everyone else but it seems to be getting worse for me, every single time I go to post.

I can answer for Aussieca hes being a good boy and doing some studying.
No we have no answer but Nancy thinks we might have to do everything (i think this is what she means) all over again, she has sent an email off to her guy, so just waiting back to hear from her.
Its real funny because she (Nancy) has no problems at all, but i dont think its the host because the posts are getting through.
Its not going to be that big of a deal to redo everything, but we do want to wait till the end of the month if we can so the slide show dont cause us any grief (its a pain).

So Nancy thinks it maybe a host thingy to then. I have just switched to the default theme to see if it is any better. This is nearly always one of the things wow tell you to do if your board is modified, I think sometimes they just say that to put you off a bit longer.

we are trying to get them to reset the mysql, that will solve the problem, the biggest obstacle is getting the host to do it (it will affect all sites hosted on this server, which means they will all have some short-term difficulty accessing their site while it is being reset)
