Here ya go hales.
Ingredients:
- 3 Mars bars
- 3 tbls butter or margarine
- 3 cups Rice Bubbles (or for a really chocolaty taste) 3 cups of Coco Pops
Method:
- Melt butter and Mars bars until mixture is smooth and liquid.
- Stir the Rice Bubbles or Coco Pops in quickly.
- Press mixture into a slice dish and spread evenly.
- Ice with melted chocolate and cut into slices once it is cool.
Ingredients:
- 3 Mars Bars (since you can't buy the mars bars without the almonds here I use 3 milkyways)
- 3oz butter
- 3 cups rice bubbles
- 200g melted chocolate (cooking or normal eating chocolate)
Method:
- Grease and line slice tin with baking paper
- Melt Mars Bars with butter and mix with rice bubbles. Pour mixture into tin.
- Melt chocolate and pour over slice.
- Let slice set in a cool place (or the fridge). Remove slice from tin and cut into pieces.
- *** I amended this recipe, by omitting the Copha, but if you have it you can melt down a block, and add it to the chocolate used for the topping, which is spread on top . This is not even close to being low fat, but sure tastes good.

Hales,
chop up 3 mars bars, 3 oz butter and melt in a saucepan.
Add to 3 cups of rice bubbles. Spread out in a baking dish, and refrigerate....
I believe the mars bars over here are actually called milky ways....
(and the milky ways as we know them in Australia are the baby ruth bars)

Thanks Anne. Found this one will it do?
2 lb. boneless chuck, cubed
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 - 3/4 c. med. barley
3 carrots, chopped
1 c. chopped onion
1 lg. clove garlic, minced
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
Salt & Pepper to taste
Brown beef in Dutch oven, add 10 cups water. Bring to a boil; skim off foam. Simmer, covered for 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered for 1 hour until beef and barley are tender.
I did find some that had mushrooms added as well.
