It is about 45cm (18 inches) wide.
There are two parallel slots with a round opening at one end of each slot
Each slot can be covered by the circular hinged cover
A leather strap is attached to each end with a wooden piece making a carrying handle.
The round hole was large enough to take the head of the bird.
he bird was then moved along the slot, and another added.
When the cover was closed, the birds could not fall out!
The game carrier made it much easier to carry many birds than in a bag.

wow....I can't believe I got it...I thought the hole would be big enough to put the feet in and then slide them across the narrow part, so as not to fall out....I honestly can't believe I got that one lol.......yippee my turn again...
now I'll have to find a hard one to put up..I've been so easy on you guys with my last few lol..

Well you had the right concept there Den but the large hole was to remove their heds then slide them along --- ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
